Leeds-based producer Dubrunner brings his debut release to Scuffed Recordings, with three new tracks firmly rooted in his soundsystem influences.

As a co-founder of Leeds’ notorious Stretchy Dance Supply parties and a staff member at Tribe Records, Dubrunner’s eclectic DJ sets reflect back into his productions, with house, breaks and electronic influences sitting alongside sounds from steppa dub and soundsystem culture.

The ‘Scorpio Season’ EP shows the spectrum of Dubrunner’s influences in full flow, with tracks ranging from the 140bpm stepper ‘Destination Unknown’, to the weighty breaks of the title track, to the wonky electronics and dubby chords of ‘Syntax Error’.
